Hello! I’m glad you’re here!

I’m Alice — a Taiwanese-American who grew up between the States and Taiwan, spent years climbing the corporate ladder at Accenture, Morgan Stanley, and Google, and then did something that surprised everyone (including me): I traded the chase for a slower, more intentional life back in Taiwan. Food has always been the thread running through my life. In Los Angeles, I’d drive across the city for the perfect fried chicken and waffles, book reservations a month out, and plan entire trips around a single restaurant. Moving to Taipei didn’t make me a foodie — it just finally gave that part of me room to breathe. Here, I’ve learned that living well isn’t about spending the most; it’s about choosing deliberately.

That idea is the heart of Couture & Crumbs. Everything I share here — the hotels, the restaurants, the destinations, the small rituals of everyday life — is chosen on purpose and researched obsessively before it earns a place on this site. I’m not interested in telling you about everything; I’m interested in telling you about the things that are genuinely worth it. When something impresses me, I’ll tell you exactly why. When it doesn’t live up to the hype or the price, I’ll tell you that too. My promise is simple: I did the careful work of curating so you don’t have to, and I’ll always give you my honest verdict — even when it isn’t the popular one.

If you’re someone who wants to live beautifully and spend intelligently — who believes a well-chosen meal, a thoughtfully planned trip, or a quiet, considered life is worth the effort — then you’re exactly who I’m writing for. Consider this your invitation to slow down, choose well, and savor the good things. I’m so glad you’re here. Stay a while, and let’s find them together.
